Flight Training Overview
HOW DO I BECOME A PILOT?
The Recreational Pilot Permit or the Private Pilot Licence is the starting point for all pilots, whether interested in recreational or career-oriented flying. In addition to a sincere desire to learn to fly, the student is required to meet three basic requirements.
Prior to flying solo, you will need to obtain an aviation medical certificate. The physical exam can be performed by any one of several local physicians approved by Transport Canada.
Groundschool is an integral part of flight training. Classes are conducted on a regular basis in our classroom at the Camrose Airport. The class usually meets twice per week. Upon completion you will be well prepared for the written examination.
Most of you training will be spent in actual flight either with you instructor alongside, or later, in solo flight. This training will not only help develop the coordination required for the smooth and safe operation of the aircraft, but also instill within you the professionalism and decision making required of any pilot.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
For many, taking the first step is the hardest part of becoming a pilot! Give us a call or stop by our flight training center at the airport to book an introductory flight.
